Cascading Style Sheets
Cascading Style Sheets provide the website designer the ability to style (or "skin") a website without alteration of the underlying XHTML webpage. By changing the CSS on a Vine Type website -- with no changes to any template file, a web designer can
- move the navigation section to the left or right side
- alter the background images and colors
- change the text font, size, and spacing in each section of the website
- move or remove the breadcrumb section
The capabilities of CSS are large, and a full explanation of this topic is beyond the scope of this web site, but there are wonderful online resources that can get you started on your way.
